Promoting a healthy lifestyle

Healthy eating

We promote healthy eating through our school dinners (see menu here), our PSHCE curriculum and enrichment such as our cookery group. Tasty Meal Ideas are included in the newsletter every week.

Other resources for parents:

Sports and staying active

Pupils receive weekly P.E. lessons in addition to ‘physical’ enrichment opportunities. Both are planned using our P.E. curriculum ‘cogs’, including a termly Health and Fitness focus. At the end of each lesson pupils reflect on how the session has helped to activate different parts of their body and how they can develop their physical and mental fitness.

Other resources:

Sex and relationships

Relationships and Sex Education is delivered through our PSHCE curriculum in line with statutory guidance and our school values. Please also see our Relationships and Sex Education Policy and dedicated RSE page.

Other useful resources:

Promoting diversity and inclusivity

Peaceful protests, mass marches, and portrayals of violence. Petitions, political speeches, and demonstrations. The last two years have seen movements advocating for an end to racial inequality on a mass scale. Yet, current affairs aren’t always tangible or immediately clear, especially from a child’s perspective. Click here to read a guide to help discuss these issues with your child.
