Our Values

You will see our values mentioned throughout this website because they are at the core of what we do and are the bedrock of success for our pupils. They are our curriculum 'drivers' as well as the attributes that we aim to foster in our pupils so that when they leave Orchard Meadow they can fulfil their ambitions and be happy and successful. 

Our values are also personified in the characters below, see if you can work out who is who!

Our values are talked about in assemblies every week as well as part of Brain Smart Start Sessions, which kick off the day in each classroom. We have a commitment to foster these values and build cultural capital through a programme of enrichment that is open to all pupils. 

We are passionate about making learning relevant and real and linking to Blackbird Leys, Oxford and the wider world. We want pupils to be proud about where they are from and who they are and enthusiastic to share the achievements of themselves and others. Therefore, our school motto and 'ethos' is PRIDE. 

PRIDE assemblies every week celebrate great work and pupils who have demonstrated our values or have gone 'above and beyond'.  All members of the school community try hard to use the language of 'pride' to further develop pupils' confidence and self-esteem.
