Working with Families
We believe that educating and caring for a child should be a partnership between home and school and we want our parents and carers to be as involved with their children's learning as possible.
We provide a number of services for our children and families:
Home School Link Workers
Our Home School Link team work individually with children and families on a range of issues. They can provide support with parenting, routines, behaviour and learning and can arrange contact with outside agencies for further help and support if required.
We work with the amazing Family Links charity to provide a 10 week parenting course, within our Academy three times a year. These informal courses are enormous fun and extremely helpful. They are very popular, so don't be disappointed if you don't get on the first one. We keep the groups small, which gives a friendly welcoming environment to parents. If you are interested in joining a course please contact our school office.
If you would like to know more about Family Links please go to the website www.familylinks.org.uk
School is open from 7.50am for families requiring before school care. Breakfast club provides a quiet, calm start to the day by our school staff. A small charge of 50p is made for this facility.
We offer a variety of after school clubs. These change each term to cater for a variety of interests. Some of these clubs are run by the school staff and others by outside providers or school volunteers.
